Whether you’re going through a great time in your life right now or a tough time - the only certainty is that it will change! This is our life, the ebb and flow. Finding ways to create calm during chaos is a superpower! This allows us to thrive, not just survive!
2020 was THAT year for most of us. It was a year of unprecedented stress and chaos. It was one of the toughest years of my life….
As an Activational Speaker on health, wellness, and navigating stress, 2020 forced me to “put my money where my mouth is”.
An unexpected breast cancer diagnosis, two surgeries, radiation, a divorce, a new home (after bidding on six homes), a complete loss of income, and the isolation of a global pandemic., could have resulted in a downward spiral! But I used EVERYTHING I share with my clients to shift into thriving with a small but mighty first step…..
I felt so disheartened by the fact that people were beginning to see the word “positive” as something terrifying. We all became terrified to test positive for Covid. I wanted to bring us back to what “positive” really means, and I NEEDED to bring myself back. So, I began a social media campaign that was actually my private therapy. Every day, I posted a post that began with, “ I’m testing positive.”
I posted a quote intended to shape my day into something positive and healthy and invited people to do the same. I posted every day for two years! This literally was the first step to me taking back control of a life that had gotten completely out of control. It became my superpower.
In 2022, after hundreds of comments, DM’s, and emails from people who said these posts changed their lives, I created a book.
In 30 seconds a day, this inspirational and intentional book gives power back where it belongs: in our hands! The journal questions inspire deeper thought and turn intention into action. This is how we move from surviving to thriving, regaining control, and finding calm through chaos.
As an occupational therapist and professional speaker, I know that prevention and self-management are the keys to creating well-being in all aspects of life. This book is a huge leap forward on your path toward well-being. I have heard from so many people how this book has transformed their personal and work lives. Many leadership teams use this as daily, actionable inspiration for their employees; teachers use it in their classrooms with their students, and parents read it with their children. If we want our lives to change, we have to change them, and this is a great way to start with your daily attitude and intention!
